When Blood falls on Rust The story of Fucktory-X project is born in Veneto in the second half of 2003, when Joker contacts his old friend Bookie, with which he played together for years in a shock rock band inspired by the Reverend, but since several months before they close up the question. The drummer's purpose is to return to play together, but dedicating themselves to a more metallic and hardy genre, closer to american nu metal. This proposal gets Bookie very enthusiastic, and after changing his instrumentation adapting it to new requirements, he started the personnel hunt to complete the formation. After a sad series of changeover, which however allowed the entering in line-up of the keyboards-effects player Dementia Lust, they decided to try the reapproaching of the bass player of their old band: V. D’annunzio, immediately available, and than he put himself out for the searching of the final elements: Tyrant-x for guitars and Jesus for voice. With this sextet finally starts, in the cold December of the same year, the draft of the first material with the name Fucktory-X. In spite of the basic idea of the founding couple, the combo does not care about the genre to follow, but everyone carries his own experiences and his own passion; now they have to manage black metal riffing near syncopated rhythmic, doom tempos and electro-noise incursions, gothic phrasings and brutal vocalisms. The themes talk about mental unease, to homicide seen from inside, to religious obsession, to sacrifice. The central thread is Blood. Making themselves familiar each other, they manage to blend stylistic differences, getting an obscure and extreme sound; so they created obsessive and violent tracks that go out on the first EP “Life Feeds On Blood”, that is recorded in the summer of 2004 at ZEM studios of Bolzano and which will see the light of day at the beginning of 2005. The tracks in it, five and the intro, contain all the elements of the band’s minds, and this origins a difficult cataloguing album, near to brutal in certain parts, to thrash in others, with doom slowing and an invasive use of electronics. Although most reviews are flattering, in the spring, Dementia Lust does not feel like going on with that genre and he leaves the band. The first gigs without him are overcame using a cd player with recorded synth bases and little keyboard parts played by Jesus. However, the settlement is temporary and after several months, Bronson enters as live keys player, but he disappears in summer 2006, just before the band starts to record. In spring of this year, for work related reasons, even V. D’annunzio drifts away from Fucktory-X. The band, at the recording threshold of the first full-length album “Blood on Rust”, find itself in four elements formation. This doesn’t worry Fucktory-X that enter Remaster Studios in Vicenza, where bass tracks are assigned to the guest Matteo Galbier, courtesy of Arthemis; keyboards and effects are in the hands of Bookie, who for the occasion dismantled and kneaded what done until now. The sound is in constant evolution and the recorded songs have more impact and with more linear to the listening, the riffs go near to black metal, there is place even for Tyrant-x screams, but once again the refusal of well-defined composition rules makes hard the labelling of the band’s proposal, band which carries on the bloody themes that belong to Jesus obsessive imaginary. Evolution is doomed to continue, Blood is doomed to flow. Let the Blood flow…
