Last summer was a tumultuous time where the warm weather brought a wave of needing to "get shit done." So we spent our summer days recording, singing, indulging… The result of this debauchery is the Friends in Bellwoods Compilation. This compilation captures the music and camaraderie that has come from Bellwoods, a small house on the fringes of Queen St. West in the heart of downtown Toronto.
Deep in the heart of Toronto, just down the street from the biz and buzz of the always hip and pumping Queen St. West, there lies an abode like few others. It is the home to many friends, visitors, families, and the music that all of them have made together. It is a place that we call Bellwoods.
This is a collection of those friends, visitors and families. Many have spent time there, sharing in its warmth, feeding its furry, feathered and shelled creatures. Some have performed there, playing with hands, hearts and smiles. Some have never been to the house, but are a part of the community that it represents, helping to foster the music and camaraderie that is such an important part of all of this.
All of the money made from this collection will be donated to the Toronto Daily Bread Food Bank to show how important sharing, working together and helping each other has been to everyone in the Bellwoods family.
