Music has never sounded as SWEET as the sultry
hip-hip soul of CandySoul. Not only is she a perfect
pitch vocalist but a producer and songwriter as well!
She is the hottest new artist reminiscent of Lauryn Hill,
with a stand out, creative flair similar to that of
rapper/producer Missy Elliott. This natural born
entertainer grew up in North Little Rock, Arkansas
but left the Natural state with only her talent and
unbreakable drive in 2000 to pursue her passion
for music.Her musical abilities were noticed by her mother
at a young age, as she could easily hear pitch and
play any song on piano by ear. Her musical
production skills also started at a young age,
as she would record her own beats with a tape
recorder while beat-boxing and humming
simultaneously. Nevertheless, CandySoul
knew that being a great vocalist was not
enough and sought a degree at the
University of Memphis in Music and
Vocal Production. As one of the most
sought after performers at the university,
she received a full vocal scholarship and
was accepted as a member of the most
competitive University of Memphis' musical
ensemble Sound Fuzion, which is made up
of 8 vocalist, 8 musicians, and 2 sound
engineers. In 2005 she toured for
a month in China and in 2006 was a finalist in
HOLLYWOOD on the number 1 show in the world,
AMERICAN IDOL, season 6.She has performed with Oscar winners Three 6 Mafia,
Hustle and Flow's Al Kapone, and Stax’s artist Booker T,
just to name a few. This dedicated young diva is currently
gigging on the world famous Beale Street and other hot
night clubs. One of her original songs can be heard on
BlueT.O.M Record's compilation album released in 2006,
and her second album will soon be released. Her album
is sure to catch the attention of all REAL music lovers.
She has won several talent contests, was crowned
"Composer of the Year," and has over 10 years of
vocal and production experience. Randy of
American Idol says “She can DEFINITELY singâ€
and B.E.T.'s Vickie Johnson says that CandySoul
