Music has always been a part of Ron's life. Since his earliest memories, Ron can recall being surrounded by music - whether it be the irie vibrations of Bob Marley and UB40 his dad played while he visited the east coast as a child, the glam-rock of Guns and Roses and other metal bands his elder brother introduced him to in the 80's, to even the hip hop culture - which is where he first got his feet wet as a DJ in high school.Ron's musical tastes rooted in Florida where he first studied music - learning how to read and compose music while being a part of the school band and learning how to play 10 different instruments. He became introduced to house while living in Florida and thats when he first fell in love with the sound. After leaving to move back to California, house took the back seat in his musical tastes as the Hip Hop community of Southern California took over and blew up into the phenomena it is today. It wasn't until he met his current partner Rene and was given a cd by his cousin containing a soulful mix by Ministry of Sound's Jazzy M (Groovin') where he redefined his love for house and realized that it was his time to share this love with the world.
Today, you can catch Ron doing his thing out and about Southern California. Having played great venues such as Avalon, Grand Ave, Club Vegas, Larchmont, Melt @ Tigerlily, SoHo, and the infamous Arena, Ron continues to spread his love for the music he makes and plays. With a growing number of bookings around Southern California and neighboring areas, Ron's evolution in the dance scene is only beginning. Tag Teaming with his partner Rene under the moniker CBnR, they now host the house room at Red's weekly event at the Arena in Hollywood. Red, a name that is synonymous with the L.A. after-hours scene, and CBnR hope to bring you a journey into house music that goes unparalleled.
