Fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people are so full of doubts

About Me

Suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope (Rom 5:3-4)------------------------------------------------- "The absence of risk is a sure sign of mediocrity" - CHARLES DE FOUCAULD (Brother Charles of Jesus)------------------------------------------------------ ----------- Mumia Abu-Jamal's "Who We Are""I regard Christian and Jewish fundamentalism, and all other forms of fundamentalism, as the enemies of G-d - and I hope you'll quote me on that." -Rabbi Arthur Hertzberg--------------------------------------------------- -----
I'd describe myself as a mix between Morrissey, Daniel Johnston, St. Francis of Assisi and Malcolm X. My friends describe as a happy-dork who is wonderfully kind and complex. I have an unhealthy obsession to Morrissey. I was raised Catholic so I like drinking and feeling guilty. As far as politics go, I consider myself a progressive spiritual follower of Jesus Christ and though I am very passionate about it, I never push my beliefs on others. I have zero-tolerance for racism or disrespect of other cultures. I do love wandering around the city in the rain while listening to Elliot Smith and Morrissey. I'm always there if someone needs me to listen, laugh, support them when they vent or just be there if they have a good cry. I also enjoy dancing alone like an idiot in my apartment to Morrrissey, The Smiths, Belle & Sebastian and the Cure. I'm happy with who I am and I don't care what anyone thinks about me. Favorite Musician: MORRISSEY and THE SMITHS Favorite Book: The Prophet by Khalil Gibran Favorite Movie: Brazil directed by Terry Gilliam Favorite Painting: The Empire of Light II by Rene Magritte I'm a fan of The Islanders, Mets, strong coffee, cheap beer, wings, indie films, modern art and random discussions about absolutely nothing and everything.AIM- Poochera Home | Browse | Search | Invite | Film | Mail | Blog | Favorites | Forum | Groups | Events | Videos | Music | Comedy | Classifieds

My Interests

"I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ." Mohandas Gandhi...................................................... .................. The greatest music video of all time!Getting my fat ass to the gym. Dancing alone like an idiot to the music of Belle & Sebastian, Morrissey and the Smiths. Drinking cheap domestic beer at dive bars while watching hockey.

I'd like to meet:

Leave it to Henry Rollins to describe my dating life.. Im looking for Irrational dreamers and unconventional romantics. Those who laugh with Love and not with malice. People who are respectful of other cultures and races. Individuals who are morally responsible towards themselves and society. A person who can stand up for what they believe in, no matter how unpopular their beliefs may be. Someone who can appreciate and laugh at the absurd surprises that life brings you. People who are bright, intellectual but not snooty. People who can laugh at themselves and not at the expense of others. I don't like stinky poopheads who are inconsiderate, self-centered, mean-spirited, arrogant, too into themselves, and/or dopey whiners. Anyone who can make a complete ass out of themselves with style. People who are considerate and respectful to others. Someone who can appreciate cheap beer and wings as well as a good foreign film and surrealist art. I also hope to network with other progressive minded people of faith.
