About Me

Hello everybody! Welcome to my page, in case you didn't know my name is Marco. I'm a freelance trombonist in Las Cruces/El Paso specializing in Reggae/Ska/Rock but I also can play in a lot of other mediums. I've been playing trombone for close to 16 years and recieved my BA in Music Performance at New Mexico State University under Dr. Allan Kaplan. Currently you can see me playing trombone for local ska/reggae/rock band Liquid Cheese prior to that I did 3 or so years with No Regrets and prior to that I did a few months with this Juarez ska band called Mambo which never took off past rehearsals.
Professionally I've toured the US four times with Liquid Cheese and No Regrets playing coast to coast from every major city in Califronia to Florida and in between. Been featured with my fellow Cheese horn players on Radio La Chusmas CD 91.5 MexFM as well as No Regrets unreleased CD "Fatter By The Minute" which one song is on Drunkmouse Records Reggaenomics 101 Compilation Also I'm on the Tres Equis Amber album done while Liquid Cheese recorded at KUNM back in 06 when we toured for about 6 weeks. While I was at NMSU 1998-2004 I was a member of The PRIDE of New Mexico, NMSU Jazz Ensembles, NMSU Symphonic Winds, Chamber Ensemble and various other ensembles. I've played everything from being in the pit orchestra for operas, broadway shows, and masses. The songs you'll find on my page eventually will be stuff I'm composing on Garageband 05 and maybe some jazz band charts from my days at NMSU but currently you can read the disclaimer below because my laptop is pretty slow and crashes a lot and I'm still getting the hang of Garageband. I'll be posting more stuff soon so hope you guys enjoy my page! DISCLAIMER:
Hey from time to time I'll be putting up songs I dig that I'm not a part of, it's just stuff that I like to listen to and might think some of you might enjoy listening to also!
