Danny has been working on his sound for over 10 years at the heart of Chicago's Progressive Trance scene. His style of smooth, sexy, deeply-textured grooves, baselines and Fx, has carried countless dance floors through many enchanted rhythmic journeys. Danny began his calling to be a DJ after working at a teen club as a Manager.
Soon after witnessing a Chicago legend perform, Bad Boy Bill, Danny felt a small ripple of what his destiny held. In 1999, Danny shipped out for his first gig in Ybor City, Florida, he gave Ybor City a taste of what the Chicago Progressive Trance style was like. He hit clubs like 1509, Amphitheater, and Club Le Mezzine (where he became a frequent DJ in the coming months). While he was moving Eastern Florida with his energetic style, a club owner from Chicago asked him to become resident at his club back home, Club XL. This was Chicagos only legal after-hours club, which opened at 4am and closed at 10am, and had more than 2000 in attendance every night. After a strong 2 years at XL, Danny moved on and became a resident DJ at Glow where he played 8 hour sets every Friday and Saturday night.
Right around this time, Danny started getting booked around the country in cities like Las Vegas, Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Cleveland and New York City.
Danny got to a point where he established himself as one of the most prominent DJs in Chicago. Having maintained a 6-night a week schedule for almost 4 years, he resided at major clubs like Kustom, Glow, Allure, Rive Gauche, Whitestar Lounge and Buzz - along with frequent guest spots at many other Chicago clubs.
The Present...
While playing almost every single night of the week, Danny has begun his producing career. This has landed him numerous and highly respected offers, including opening for Paul Van Dyke last year at the House of Blues in Chicago.
While his style was evolving and his production skills were increasing exponentially, Danny was approached about a residency at Miami's most prestigious club, Crobar. This turned into Danny's home every Saturday night where you could find him grooving the masses in the VIP and very often showing off his talent in the Main Room.
After deciding to return to Chicago, DannyBoy currently resides at the only Chicago nightclub that is known for its music, Spybar. Spinning every Friday and Saturday, SpyBar has become Chicago's premiere nightclub for House music.
The Future...
No one knows what the future holds, but one thing is definitely certain, Dannyboy is here to stay. Whether behind the decks or behind a drum machine, Danny's presence is being felt all over the country as his tracks are being pressed and released. Danny is the next generation talent; born from a combination of inspiration and self dedication, he is showing the world what he can do.
