About me, hmmm... I'm in the process of divorcing my husband, we have a baby girl who is 4 months old right now. I love to sing, and have taken lessons most my life. I have also taught voice lessons in the past, and plan to start giving lessons again once I get my new apartment set up (not such an easy task when you are a single parent with a new baby), and procure a keybord somehow. My favorite band has always been, and will always be, the Beatles (but don't go trivia crazy on me, I've never been the type to need to know everything about all that, I just care about the music), I enjoy all genres though, except rap and music with nothing but screaming for vocals (how can people call themselves "singers" in a band if all they do is scream, they should just say screamers if thats all they do; there's nothing wrong with them inherently, they're just not really singing). I play a little bass, but I don't have one right now. Once I get a new bass though, I'll start back up taking jazz theory. I've taken nearly two years, but it's been just under a year since I've been able to take lessons or play. I miss it ;-( I'm very liberal, and I'm a feminist-- an equality feminist, not a femi-nazi who hates men, thinks marriage is evil, and is vehemently against anyone choosing to be a stay at home mom, makeup, or wearing cute clothes and shoes sometimes (I do have a serious weakness for shoes, after all); I'm the kind that want's equal pay for equal work, no difference in benefits at a job based on gender, accurate sexual education for teens, affordable access to birth control for all women, harsher penalties for sexual predators and domestic abusers, easy and affordable access to support for their victims, the right for women to have complete control over their reproductive organs (yes I'm pro-choice), etc. That's about all for now.
