About Me

Katy Stewart was born free on 230 acres of North Central Pennsylvania woods. Throughout struggles and triumphs, she has held on to her love of music.
In her early twenties, Katy got her first six-string. Simultaneously, she taught herself to play, and began to write music.
Hearing one song will not give you a sense of Katyâ€™s music. Her true eclectic style comes from a lifetime of joys and sorrows, gifts and losses. You will feel intensity, softness, shame and pride.
Katy has been billed at many coffeehouses, cafÃ©â€™s, fundraisers and festivals. She has made appearances for news interviews and documentaries.

Influences: Life, in general. I have so much respect for anyone who puts their art out there. I have been influenced by everyone from The Indigo Girls to Pearl Jam, Pink Floyd to my church's choir led by my mom.
Oh. And Britany Spears. DEFINATELY inspired me to avoid fame.
