About Me

I'm a bird. I'm everything, without anymore confusion. All the bells, the rules, the lands, the big grove, the greatest tenderness. the immense tide. garbage. water jar, cardboard cards, dice digits duets. vain hope of constructing the cloths. the kings. so silly, my nails, the thread and the hair. the bantering nerve. I'm going inside myself, one absent minute. I have stolen you and I leave weeping. I'm just kidding. Frida Kahlo
I wasn't born from a whistle or milk from a thistle at twilight. No I was all horns and thorns sprung out fully formed, knock kneed and upright. So enough of this terror we deserve to know light and grow evermore lighter and lighter. Joanna Newsom
I am not I. I am this one walking beside me when I do not see whom at times I manage to visit and whom at other times I forget who remains calm and silent while I talk and forgives, gently, when I hate Who walks where I am not who will remain standing when I die.~ Juan Ramon Jimenez

diary of an artist
I have recently submitted my letter of resignation to the company where I have worked for the last 5 years in the courageous hopes that I am FINALLY ready to live the creative life I was made for.
I am a working painter and photographer and am VERY interested in supporting myself financially creatively, no matter how terrifying that may feel this morning.
So I am spreading this message in the hopes that you will pass it along to anyone who may be interested in hiring a local photographer, or in commissioning a custom made one of kind piece of art work to hang in their home.

A second way that oppressed people sometimes deal with oppression is to resort to physical violence and corroding hatred. Violence often brings about momentary results. Nations have frequently won their independence in battle. But in spite of temporary victories, violence never brings permanent peace. It solves no social problem; it merely creates new and more complicated ones. Violence as a way of achieving racial justice is both impractical and immoral. It is impractical because it is a descending spiral ending in destruction for all. The old law of an eye for an eye leaves everybody blind. It is immoral because it seeks to humiliate the opponent rather than win his understanding; it seeks to annihilate rather than to convert. Violence is immoral because it thrives on hatred rather than love. It destroys community and makes brotherhood impossible. It leaves society in monologue rather than dialogue. Violence ends by defeating itself. It creates bitterness in the survivors and brutality in the destroyers. Martin Luther King
