I bleed music, love to read, enjoy writing poetry, and I dig talking to interesting people. My brother, GARETH ASHER, is an amazing singer/songwriter and is about to take the music world by storm...with the release of his sophmore album, "I'M THE EARTH". The single from this incredible new CD is the song playing on my page now. Every song is a passionate outpouring of soul and experience. He is releasing the new CD at Eddie's Attic on June 7th...and I can't wait! He will also be touring the east coast in support of the new album with big shows here in Atlanta too! My brother, GARETH ASHER, is an amazing singer/songwriter based here in Atlanta, GA! He has embarked on a journey with producer, Clay Cook, to create his second album entitled "I'm The Earth" to be released June 7th at Eddie's Attic. The single, "CRAVE" will be the first track promoted to radio around the southeast...so be sure to call your local radio stations to request it! Come .. a brotha out!!! ;)
I like all kinds of music as long as it "speaks" to me. I listen to lyrics...thats my thing...any song with powerful lyrics and a good melody or beat and I'm hooked. Right now I'm listening to GARETH ASHER, James Morrison, Moses Mayfield, Wideawake, Aslyn, Marc Broussard, Maroon 5, Paolo Nutini, Ray Lamontagne, The Fray, Damian Rice, Coldplay, Augustana, Ryan Adams, Amos Lee, Matt Nathanson, Howie Day, Anna Nalick, Gavin Degraw, The OURS, Jeff Buckley, Nina Simone, Collective Soul, Butch Walker, and old faves like the Counting Crows, U2, Hall and Oates, Jackson Browne, and my 2nd grade crush...Rick Springfield. I also like 80's glam rock and pretty much anything cool from the 80's...however cheesy it might be. I love listening to underground stuff as well...I love discovering new kick-ass bands. One new favorite song is "Beauty" by a band called "The Shivers" on Whiskey and Apples Records. Found 'em on myspace believe it or not! Also, Dallas Green is another incredible artist I found on myspace. His band is City & Colour and they are absolutely spellbinding. I love music...
Just returned home from THE ROCK BOAT '07...wow, what a trip! I have been twice now. This trip is a music lover's heaven. From Glen Phillips, to Shawn Mullins, to Marc Broussard... to artists I'd never heard...such as Aslyn and Wideawake...this cruise is a blast. I met some magnificent people, made some incredible friends, and listened to unbelievable music all week long. I will never miss another Rock Boat as long as I live!
hmmm...anything that has a good storyline honestly.
Have they made a movie about GARETH ASHER yet??? ;)
My "ABSOLUTELY GOTTA WATCH" shows are "24", "Grey's Anatomy", "Entourage", "Brother's and Sisters", Desperate Housewives", "The Office", "Scrubs", "30 Rock", "Nip Tuck", and I also like "House", "The Apprentice", "The Sopranos", "Six Feet Under", "Las Vegas", and not to mention that I am a sucker for daytime soaps "Days of Our Lives" and "Passions"...Yeah I know...it's lame.
I really enjoyed Dan Brown's "Angels & Demons" and his bestseller "Davinci Code" as well as the rest of his books, and I haven't read that fast since I was a kid with my nose buried in Nancy Drew mysteries. I love "Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas" by Hunter Thompson. He is an incredible writer! Recently read Barack Obama's first book, "Dreams of My Father". I am really intrigued by this man. He's got my vote in '08! Not sure what I'm going to pick up next...i just bought a stack of books at borders...
My grandfather, George Green. What a man!
