The Winston Solution

The Winston Solution formed in Gothenburg in 1999 by Jonas Lundvall and Erik Jonsson with the intention of writing melodic pop songs the way they used to write them. The collaboration resulted in a selftitled EP a year later recorded on an eight track machine and the first song ”I am ok” was played on national and internatinal radio and was included on collection cd ”Even penguins get the blues” released by the fanzine Revolution #9.The following year the follow up EP ”Photographs from a broken planet” was released showing up a more experimental side of the band with piano as the main instrument. The same year the acoustic nine track mini album ”Nine wrong songs” was recorded in a week around christmas containing live favourite ”the magic of a shy conversation”. With the band expanding to a three piece orchestra mid 2003 ”Screenplay for a ballet” was recorded containing a fuller production. The band’s latest release ”Good things will come to those who wait” was recorded during 2004 and was distributed by Australian label book club records.With band members relocating to different cities at the end of 2004 the band took a break getting back together in 2006 full of new songs and visions. The band is currenntly writing and rehearsing for a new album coming out in 2007.Check this place for demo versions of the new songs.
