One of the hottest, most exciting, fresh new artists, taking the Hard Dance circuit by storm, The Colonel dazzled DJ Mag, Tidy judges and fans in the HUGE 2007 DJ Mag and Tidy DJ Competition. It was his flawless mixing techniques, crowd interaction and not stop having it large party tunes which lead him to take out the winning position over thousands of other entrants from around the globe, earning him a contract with Tidy Management alongside the Tidy Boys, Lisa Pin-up, Rob Tissera, and many more.
In his short DJ career, The Colonel has already performed at some of the most celebrated events in the country including Tidy Weekenders, Tidy vs. Extreme Euphoria, Tidy Leeds, Storm, Peach, Frantic, and Slinky. Not to mention featuring at some of the UKs biggest festivals, such as Escape Into The Park, Creamfields, and Coloursfest. Over the summer The Colonel supported the Queen of Hard House, Lisa Pin-up, on her “God Save The Queen†UK tour, and also made his debut in Ibiza, rocking Es Paradis down to its foundations at Keep Ibiza Tidy.Over the past 12 months The Colonel has travelled further than ever before, and played at events DJs dream of playing at. Things have certainly been on the up for The Colonel, gathering fans from near and far, with his versatile, and unique DJ style. Playing sets all over the country, whether it be a warm-up set, a peak-time set, or a techno/tech-trance set, he never fails to amaze the crowds wherever he plays, proving why he’s one of the hottest talents in the scene.
In between his residency at Glasshouse in Leeds and a bi-monthly residency at Dilate in Lincolnshire during 2003-2005, The Colonel landed sets up and down the country. With his consistent output of mix CDs and online mixes that seamlessly blend together funky hard house with hard trance and techy sounds he has became a firm favourite on the Tidy Message Board and has already established a very strong UK following.
Not just content with being a DJ, The Colonel runs and co-owns digital record label, Digital Assault. The label was set up to give the talent who don’t always get the opportunity to get their material and tracks out there. In the past 12 months The Colonel, and partner in crime Simon Langdale (Slangers) have had tracks from Digital Assault feature in Dance Magazines, 4 number 1’s on several of the download sites the tracks feature on, and 2 tracks short-listed for the Hard Dance Awards, making Digital Assault one of the most talked about, and favourite independent digital record labels. Now into its 2nd year, Digital Assault enters phase 2, with an album, and a UK tour all set and ready to go!If you’re a promoter, and would be interested in hearing about the tour packages, simply email [email protected].
