Thomas Madsen, better known to the record-buying public as norwegian hard dance act 'Adrenaline Dept.' lowers the bpm and goes back to his roots of housemusic plus adding a twist of todays gritty electro sound. Thomas' taste leaning towards housemusic was triggered in the late 80s with artists like Bomb the Bass, S-Express, Blackbox and C&C Music factory in the cd-player. From 1996-2004 Thomas spun records basically every other weekend as resident dj in several clubs in addition to starting to play events and parties in 2001. Summer 2005 saw him playing the annual summerparade on a moving fleet through Oslo Central for about 70,000 people and has since then played London superclubs like "Ministry of Sound" and "The Fridge" as well as big Norwegian venues alongside stars like Klubbheads, Tidy Boys, BK, Nick Sentience, Miss Behavin' and Amber D to name but a few.
A key item in the DJing world has always been gathering a big vinyl collection which is something Thomas has also had a huge passion for, collecting hundreds and hundreds filling the shelves and boxes. Todays fantastic technical development however, sees Thomas working primarily with CDJs to be able to boost his track selections generating a unique set of personal tracks and remixes which can only be heard by going out and seeing him dj. His style of full on floor-mayhem combined with dropping that classic at the right moment and always having that big crowd interaction are strong elements in his armory. Building up the tension with cheeky track combinations and effects and with his characteristic way of mixing, he usually leaves the crowds screaming for more.
With DJing experience spanning well over a decade and the last few years focusing mostly on the harder side of dance music, Thomas has this year made the move to turn back to house and electro which is the sound he was pushing as resident dj in the nightclubs. Spending days and nights in the studio tweaking and producing, he is now generating this unique blend of house and electro that is becoming 'Audioglitch'. For this project, several different vocalists have been recruited and so far, most work has been done with lovely UK vocalist Lucy Clarke who has pitched work for artists like Robbie Rivera, Chris Lake and Kidology and has been successful on releases in 2007 with amongst others Eric Kupper & Andy Morris and Dr Beat.
The debut solo-efforts "Face the truth" with beforementioned Lucy and "Take U Higher" are both being released early 2008 on rising UK Label Presence Recordings, and the new track "Takin' the beat" is signed to D'Amour Recordings and releases early summer 2008. Already playlisted by high profile UK DJs such as Miss Behavin' and Amber D'Amour - the future of Audioglitch is certainly looking bright!
