HAILSTONE (CD RELEASE SHOW 9/22!!!)

Hailstone’s music is straight up Rock and Roll. Formed in a one-car garage in the small town of Katy, Texas, we originally got together as childhood friends to play covers of our favorite bands like Zeppelin and Sabbath. Before long, we were working on original material by our singer and rhythm player, Floyd Bauler, and lead guitarist, Halston Luna. Although none of our early works appear on American Child, they formed the foundation for our song writing and arranging processes. Our songs all have an individual sound and each stands on its own as a musical piece. No two songs on this CD sound alike. That was our goal and we believe we’ve reached it.Our influences are rock and blues bands from the 60s and 70s, and we think it shows in our original tunes. From the title track, American Child, a song about youth, freedom, and the open road, to The March, a modern day anti-war anthem; each was written and arranged to stir a different emotion and elicit a different feel.
