About Me

The Playground Bar opened in February 2000 in downtown Augusta Georgia. Open 6 nights a week, we offer different specials each night. Monday is KENO! Night. Recieve 50% more on your winnings when you play between 6:30 and 8:30. Shots of tequila, bourbon, vodka and rum are only a buck. Tuesday is $1.50 draft night. Your favorite domestic drafts are on tap and on special. Wednesday is KrAzY KaRaOke and is the most fun in town. Join in on the fun, virgins are welcome. Thursday is the already infamous GUITAR HERO TOURNAMENT. This is a single elimination tournament with a $5.00 buy in. We begin on medium and the final two standing compete on expert. Go to our blog for more details. We offer $6 domestic pitchers, $2 well shots and 2-4-1 sinature shots. Friday and Saturday we offer live music in our sperate music venue. Band Members: We will be working closely with The Imperial Theatre to expand our guitar hero tournaments. Right now, here are our plans. The champions of the Playground will be asked to stack up against the contenders of the imperial theatre, which will be all ages. These events will happen before the screenings of indie movies and their MIDNIGHT MOVIE series. Here are the Dates we have planned so far.
May 18th:
Midnight Movie: Donnie Darko/Blue Velvet
May 29th:
Indie Doc: Air Guitar Nation
June 15th:
Midnight Movie: TBA
 The Imperial Theatre will also be providing comp'd tickets and other swag for our thursday Tournaments and the Big One on May 31st. Both Parties are very excited to be working together to make Guitar Hero in Augusta a bigger and better thing for all.
