Polyrhythmic Diva-Fronted Rocktronica

About Me

..Ophir is a rocktronica project started by Indica Trichome Project (ITP) keyboardist and drummer Matthew DeMeritt. It is more loop-based than ITP, with a special emphasis on cheap synth sounds, atmospheric textures, and experimental, multi-layered rhythms. In early 2007, singer, songwriter, producer, arranger, and record company owner Holly Lindin joined Ophir as a lyricist and vocalist, bringing with her fifteen years of experience in the music business and elements of linguistic spirituality, a love of the occult, and strong vocal chops. Paired with Matthew's crunchy industrial beats and sweet riffs, it's undeniable that this duo has a powerful sound. Ophir plans to take the world by storm!

Black Robot Genius Contest

Anyone who can guess why Black Robot Genius is called Black Robot Genius wins being cool in my book.   That's more valuable than something tangible, IMHO.
