About Me

This is the most important project in my life, check it out:

The Better Ex-Boyfriend.com
..TR .. Note from the Publisher

It was summer 1996 when I became a scorned woman. I was 18, my heart was broken and I had an anthem: Alanis Morissette's You Oughta Know. Truth be told, I wasn't physically intimate with the guy. I wasn't scratching my nails down anyone's back. He didn't tell me he'd hold me until he died. There were no random acts of "you know what" in a theater. However, for some reason I felt connected to the anger she so clearly expressed through her lyrics. I was rejected; I wasn't chosen. So whenever it played, and especially when he was around, my friend and I would perform it as though we were Alanis in the video. I'm sure we looked crazy.
Music and relationships are like Marc Antony and Cleopatra; Sid and Nancy; Mickey and Minnie; they just fit! The Better Ex-Boyfriend is asking you what your favorite break-up songs are. We are compiling a power list of the Top 20 responses. Email your top choices to [email protected] or click here to send them through our Contact Us page. If the spirit moves you, tell us a bit about the songs and why they should represent the best of the best of break-up tunes.

Heroes:

Anyone Who Believes This:
Light out of Africa Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? Your are a child of G-d. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We were born to manifest the glory of G-d within us. It's not just in some of us: it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others. -Marianne Williamson, A Return To Love (1992) (often misquoted as Nelson Mendela's words- but he did read this at his inagural speech when elected President of S. Africa)
Barack Obama lately. I think I just have a crush. Beautiful man.
