You Are Sexy Black Boots
You only look like you could walk all over someone... What Kind of Boots Are You?
You are
What Rejected Crayon Are You?interests...let's see, there are MANY things that interest me, so i guess i'll just start listing some random things. first of all, i love people...well, i guess you could say i have a love/hate relationship with people. i don't always like them, but they intrigue me (and i speak as though i'm an alien or something--though i do feel that way sometimes, but i guess this is the wrong section for that). so yeah, i'm interested in people, which is why i'm a social science major with a concentration in sociology (for those who don't know, sociology--in layman's terms-- is the study of groups of human beings and how we relate to one another). my major involves lots of research, but that's all good because i love to read and i love to learm, i like to know the origins of things and why they are the way they are. yeah, i'm a geek, so what of it??? i also LOVE art of all kinds...i'm big into visual arts and LOVE going to museums and checking out exhibits. my favorite thing these days are cow parade cows. i started collecting them, so if anybody's looking for something to buy for me **cough cough**, they can be found pretty cheap on e-bay. :) i LOVE music, but that's another section....ok, this is gonna sound dumb, but i like watching people play video games. i play myself every once in a while, but i don't have a PS2 or anything, so my skills are limited. when i do play, i like to play car games (especially NASCAR Thunder!!!), some military/action games (as long as they aren't too complicated), and martial arts games (like Tekken Tag). but i love watching guys play FIFA (my favorite), Madden (though i don't like watching football on tv..go figure), any tom clancy game, any 007 game, and well, basically any game where there's a lot of SHIT TALKING going on. i love the DRAMA! i also like to read, but i see there's a section on that too, so more about that later...i LOVE my computer (YAY, COMPUTER!). i think i need to give it a name, but first i have to decide whether it's a girl or a boy. oh, have i mentioned the fact that i'm weird yet??? i guess if i haven't, now's a good time to let those of you who don't already know me in on a little secret: i'm probably one of the strangest people you'll ever meet. sure, i look pretty ordinary and i don't do anything stupid like make an ass of myself (well, only when it's appropriate), but i don't think like most people and i don't fit into many stereotypes...i'm not your "typical" anything....i guess you could say i'm a NON-CORFORMIST (i love u deidra!). ok, now this is boring me, so i'll come back to it too...as you can see, i don't finish tasks well. i'm not ADD or anything, just easily bored sometimes...

Television:

Which Seinfeld Character are you?
Elaine Benes
Elaine Benes is the only female member of the main characters. She provides a woman's perspective on things as well as her own view of the world. Elaine goes through boyfriends like most women go through cereal. Whenever she encounters someone she can't stand, which happens very often, she's bound to complain to Jerry all about it.

Books:

hmmm....let's see, lots and lots of books i've read. hard to really narrow it down, so i'll glance over at my bookshelf and try to add from there. anything by dean kootz, most stuff by stephen king, john saul, of water and the spirit by malidoma patrice some' (i think every black person in america should read this book, you'll find out that many of our customs/habits have more to do with African culture than we think), lost souls by poppy z. brite, the notebook by nicholas sparks, the autobiography of malcolm x, fried green tomatoes at the whislte stop cafe (LOVE the movie too!), any non-fiction stuff about african-american history, particular self-accounts of what was going on back in the day. lots of people don't understand how rare and enlightening it is for us to know about our history/culture since most black folks weren't allowed to go to school and when they were, they were given seriously outdated books and didn't learn much about "history" anyway, nor were they allowed to keep public records...so i dig around for all that i can, but i guess i've gotten off the subject a bit, so i'll continue. i like all of maya angelou's autobiographical books (i.e. i know why the caged bird sings, gather together in my name, etc.), john grisham (the brethren is my favorite book by him), word power made easy by norman lewis (i STRONGLY recommend this book for anybody wanting to expand their vocaulary or somebody who speaks in front of people often), the flowers in the attic "series" by v.c. andrews, the Bible...i also like to read books about other religions. my mom's a missionary for the southern baptist convention, so i swiped her books and helped her study when she was in school. some people may think that i'm straying away from my faith by learning about other religions, but just because you read about it doesn't mean to have to believe, ya know? ok, off the subject again. my bad, ok, so i like to kill a mockingbird (i'm considering reading it again), one flew over the cuckoo's nest (GREAT movie!!!!), plays by henrik ibsen (especially ghosts), jane eyre (hated having to read it in high school, but it's actually a good book), and that's all i can think of right now. it's taken me a year to get around to even filling in this section, so i think i did pretty good for a first go.

Heroes:

Jesus, my mom, my grandmother, anybody who has lived with, died for, or survived slavery/oppression of any kind, my friend dora who lives in bosnia...anytime i complain about my daily issues, the of her life reminds me how good i had it not to grow up in the midst of civil war.oh, and this guy:
