This is very hard to do… to write about myself. But, no other person knows me better than I know myself ( except for maybe mom), so I’m writing my own damn bio! …. I was born in Panama City, Panama, Spanish is my first language, and my favorite color is blue. ......... My family moved to New York City when I was six and that’s when my love for the arts really grew. I joined a recreational club called , “kids on stage†where I learned theatre and voice training…. That club kept me and my sis out of the streets, I will always and forever be grateful to them. My parents were going through a very brutal divorce when I was a teenager. This, unfortunately, pulled me away from music. Everything was changing so much in my life that, I too, felt like I needed to change. I decided to go to college and become a doctor, until I met the band Se7ven.Everything I had grown up loving, was showing up again. Rip (the guitarist from se7ven), taught me how to write and record songs. He was the fist person in a long time who believed in my potential to be a singer, so I took it, and ran with it. In the summer of 2002, we (se7ven) road out from Baltimore to Los Angeles. If I sat here and told you about all the sh*t we went through, I would have a whole book! The seven of us went from cramping in a one- bedroom apartment, to being homeless for four months. There were times when I wasn’t sure where I was going to get my next meal. all the money we had was put towards press kits and rehearsal studios. We were so crazy an determined, but I was a mess. Sometimes I felt like I just wanted to end my life because of all the stress. My mom was so worried for me, she wanted me to come back home. A little part of me really wanted to, but the other part didn’t want to give up so I stayed with it.In 2004, some of the band members quit, and after that, Se7ven wasn’t the band it was before. The break up was hard on me, but it gave me the strength to branch out and start a solo project. I teamed up with Black Keyez Ent . They have been producing my music for about a year now and the chemistry is awesome. All of my songs come from within. From all of my worries, fears, rage, love, cry’s, and silliness of what makes me. - Crissi V
