We've been in the scene for about 3 years now. Our musical journey has graced us with many different influences from different musicians that have played with us. Dog Leg Yesca started with Louis Torrez, who has been in other bands, such as Chaos, and Noisegate, back in the late 90's.In 2005, the drummer, Tony Liles joined the band, and brought on the tough beats that you hear in the music. Knowing Tony came from simple drum tracks for hip-hop and rap he took on the project of DLY. Over the years his drumming capabilities have flourished without boundaries.Next, in 2006, the vocalist, Sam Griffin came aboard to help us bring the message and feelings across in his lyrics and in the music altogether. Following Tony's footsteps in hip-hop and rap genre, Sam has become a driving force with his words.Then, in 2006 also, the bassist, Stephanie Cleaton, joined the project, and started laying down the bass for the music. Before DLY, Stef played bass for a band called Never Never, and she is currently participating in both bands.
(Which by the way, going from Never Never, which has a pop-rock feel to it and landing in DLY was a huge leap.)Dog Leg Yesca would not be where they are today if not for dedicated and loyal friends and family that surrounds them. This group of people show support everywhere we go, and we could not survive without them.
