You think shes an open book, but you don't which page to turn to, do you?

About Me

"Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate, but that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, handsome, talented, and fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be? Your playing small does not serve the world.

There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. ... As we let our own light shine, we consciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our fear, our presence automatically liberates others." - Nelson Mandela

My Interests

art, art and umm well more art writing, mostly mine but i might like yours. being sarcastic drinking at dirty badly lit bars playing darts at those bars thinking about the past being terrified of the future living. i'm generally interested in living. it's a great hobby.

I'd like to meet:

THE PERSON WHO MADE THIS POSTCARD!!!!!

I like so much music my hard drive hates me for it.

Movies:

amelie Eternal sunshine Donnie Darko spirited away the iron giant chitty chitty bang bang the seven samurai goodfellas das boot natural born killers sin city the postman cube napolean dynamite (i love technology) mona lisa smile sideways american movie: the making of northwestern
and then many many more that i can't list here or i will look like a stupid dork.

Television:

I'm always watching the weather channel. I can't get enough of knowing what temperature it is in India or Kansas City.

Books:

Every book you've ever wanted to fucking read. I've read it. Kafka, Vonnegut, Wolfe, Hemmingway, Ginsberg, Kerouac... this list would go on forever. I like books. End of story.

Heroes:

Really let's think about this question good and hard; how can I be a strong person if I'm not my own hero? I am my own hero. All those other people who could be my hero? I probably don't know them or they can't relate to me at all. I've been through enough shit to know I can stand up and start over again. I should be your fucking hero. I really fucking should. That's the first step to being a good hero, finding one in yourself. Really. It is.

How busy is the girl?

Sometimes I think if I close my eyes really tight that I'll be transported to some mountain where the only thing I'll be able to hear will be the echo of my breath across a cavern or something. Inste...

Death. In circles.

My Grand-Ma, my Mimi, died a few days ago, after a long fight with Alzheimer's Disease.I don't know if I'm going back to NY for the funeral. I don't know if I can afford it. I'd held a funeral in my...

I'm leaving NY on Friday so any interactions with other people will have to be put on hold until May. I know this is a long time. I know that all of you are crying tears of sadness at the realizatio...

Words to define 2006

2006 taught me a lot about myself, other people and the world around me.  It taught me about control and forgiveness.  I learned the true meaning of independence and loneliness.  I real...

Random..

I think my distaste for diamonds has increased after watching "Blood Diamonds". No, not the movie with Leonardo in it, but the documentary I watched on the History channel.  Yay for diamonds, how...

Oh Holidays are like wet Noodles, kind of gross.

I've been on a diet of good books and warm showers the past few days to loosen up the brain and make my skin feel like velvet. I've also been on a dematologist diet of Vitamin A and water. No coffee...

Like no one is watching.

What the hell is going on? Prolific sentences and grand dialogue filter from my fingers when no one is watching and then someone turns their shoulder toward me and I melt like a huge pile of goo in ce...

The smell of memories

The way it all smells, a smell that is undefinable but you know that it is there because the room no longer smells of nothing, is stomach churning. Without a point to place a finger on what that smel...

Dear New York..

I guess it's safe to say I miss you, since Halloween has come and gone and not one parade full of gay people was found.  There was also not a troup of small children with pillowcases at my ...
