behind the name…
a buttertart is a sweet pastry treat originating in Canada. the best buttertarts were made by Muriel Brushett, better known as, Grandma B. each warm, sugary tart was baked fresh with care and love. although the ingredients may be familiar, the treats as a whole are unforgettably unique. my approach to handbag design and creation are one and the same, with these loving thoughts in mind, i deemed my new line of one of a kind handbags, buttertart.
