hi and thank you for the visit and the support. I am dj koast (real name Kostas Theodorakopoulos ) . I started following the scene in the early 90's in my home city of Athens where I attended a large number of rave parties and slowly I became a fan of electronic music. I started collecting records and I started recognizing the different subgenres of this ever expanding world of electronic music. By 1997 the sounds of house, ambient, trance and d'n'b were winning my soul. In 1998, I arrived in Manchester UK and soon after I started collecting vinyl’s from Manchester's famous underground music record shops. In the year 2000 I started getting really valuable experience as a DJ in the many illegal parties that were happening in Madchester at that time. Meanwhile I was looking to add diversity to my sets and I thought that it would be sensible to me to explore other genres of electronic music. By 2003 my collection included new sounds from deep-tech-prog house and my mixing skills were getting better. In 2003 after successful basement house parties with friends we launched the DANCIBEL nights at legendary Manchester club Zumbar. My current sets represent a diverse array of house music that easily merge chill, funky, jackin and deep beats of house and tech-house.2006 was the most important year of my life as my daughter Lillia was born.So, I am back in my home city of Athens now (15 July 2007) after living 9 years in Manchester and despite the sudden summer heat the feelings and the emotions are already running high ITS GREAT for me, my partner (bex first friend on my space) and our little baby.Well...I wrote too much this time cheers for reading….more to come soon!
