Rag Doll Girl

We've gone for now. We might come back some time.

About Me

Rag Doll Girl formed in 2005, firstly as just two reckless youths. They quickly became three after the addition of a bassist later that year. Two years and 3 EPs later and the band have played countless shows and developed a strong repuation on the local live circuit. They have received airplay on various stations around the UK and have supported many established bands such as Black Diamond Heavies, The Dirty Feel, The Blood Arm and Polytechnic. Keen to take their sound to the masses, they have started their very own indie label (Rag Doll Records), and the band have recently embarked on their first UK tour.

Sounds Like: "Incesticide-era Nirvana mixed up with Captain Beefheart and a touch of the White Stripes" - Daniel Garrett, BBC Radio
"No nonsense, hard hitting garage blues - a blaze of noise and distortion, reminiscent of bands such as The White Stripes and The Vines.

...There's so much energy in this band it's quite tiring just watching them play. They completely tear through their set, barely stopping for a drink.

"Rag Doll Girl manage to be as much retrogressive in their influences as they are forward looking in their sound, part of an ever moving cycle of reinvention and the result is a most palatable mix of 60s blues rock and nineties alternative sounds, imagine John Lennon and Kurt Cobain playing Russian roulette with Captain Beefheart providing the sound track" - SwindonMusic.co.uk
"Rag Doll Girl played a stunning set that did not dissapoint! Their music I can only describe as super sexy rock, with a dirty side, as if they are doing something that they shouldn't be!" - Uber Loud Records
