My views on photography
I have alot of strict views on what I find to be art, and what I find to be just a picture. Just because you own a Nikon doesn't make you a good photographer. It just makes you a Nikon owner. You can take a picture of something from an interesting angle, with high contrast...but that doesn't make it art. It just makes me confused.
Alice: It's a lie. It's a bunch of sad strangers photographed beautifully, and... all the glittering assholes who appreciate art say it's beautiful 'cause that's what they wanna see. But the people in the photos are sad, and alone... But the pictures make the world seem beautiful, so... the exhibition is reassuring which makes it a lie, and everyone loves a big fat lie.
I never want anything like this to be true about my photography. I don't like to lie, and I don't like liars, even if someone is lying through art. I want only to display truth and honesty in everything that I do. If someone is smiling in a picture, I want it to come from a true happiness. If someone is frowning, I want it to come from a real feeling of heartache.
Id have to say what I love most about photography is being able to take ideas that are in your head, and share them with other people, but more importantly brought to life for yourself. Some people use other mediums such as imagery through writing or painting, I just happened to choose photography. I have an enormous respect for anyone who can take a picture of something they have in their mind, something they are passionate about and really truly love, and show it to others through art.
I am just starting off so please bear with me while I watch and learn.
