A Final mention for the five feet tall dynamo that we know and love as - Laurie Anna. I do believe that someone once put Tommy Cooper - Lee Evans - Chubby Brown - Marti Cain and a tazmanian devil in a blender, mixed the contents for ten minutes and out popped Laurie anna. Just my take on what I saw and heard but Im sure others can see where Im coming from. Noah - Martin Mac

Hi Laurie Anna - it's Steve and Karen (the agents that came to see you on Saturday night)......well what can we say? Working in the business for as long as we have, its been years since we have seen anything like you and your amazing performance. We haven't laughed so much in ages, and got a real feeling that we had 'discovered' something special the second you stepped on to that stage. You had the audience in the palm of your hand - some of the things you got away with were hysterical, and the fact that the audience not only allowed you to do the things you did, but loved it too was a real credit to you and your very obvious talent.Thank you for a great night, your amazing. Looking forward very much to working with you.See you soonSteve & Karen (Crescendo Entertainments Limited)

Hi guys, the man on the street says yes!! I went as promised to the Carnival and saw Laurie Anna in full costume and wow what a difference from the Als' Pals music night rigaliarie. She was absolutely blinding no wonder she is the top female comic act in the area. The Whole of the Carnival was in uproar and stitches to the comic antics of the most talented comedienne (am I allowed to say that) seen locally for some considerable time. Well done chuck, you well deserve this little mention, it's not all about rock n roll ya know. Indeed look out boys this chick is hot. If you have not yet seen her perform then you have missed a real treat. Mark Cockrill

Band Members: I'm a one man (women) Band. You wouldn't want two of me!!!!
Influences: Over the last few years she has enthralled the pubs, clubs and holiday camps , and had great fun doing so, but it is the theatre and television career that Laurie strives for, and where her ambitions and dreams lie. Making people laugh gives her an amazing buzz, which reflects on the crowds even further, so whether it be in comedy sitcoms, sketch shows or as a support act for the likes of Cannon and Ball or Ken Dodd in a summer season. She would even like to be a television warm-up act. Laurie Anna will always deliver her best. She considers herself to be the next Les Dawson or Benny Hill as her act is very slap stick and old style comedy.
Sounds Like:When audiences watch Laurie Anna for the first time, for many, the first words that come to mind are “ Oh. My. God.”. Laurie Anna herself believes that they must mean “what a beautiful white angel”. (if she only knew!) Her vocals are unique, appearance outrageous and choice of material like you’ve never heard before. But her comedy talent is outstanding. You will be literally rolling around in the aisles. Wiping tears from your brow and laughing all the way home. Her ability to have the audience eating out her hand is amazing. Over the last four years Laurie has developed a fantastic act, with a persona that is zany, shocking and outrageous. Her humour is often quite simple, but quick. Most of her humour is visual, mixed with singing comedy and innuendoes. Her facial expressions and her size 18 figure only enhance her humour. ( but when your 5ft tall and look like an oompa loompa who cares?) She enjoys writing her own material and songs, but would be very interested in performing script writers sketches. If you are thinking she is like lots of other comics, you would be hugely mistaken. Her act has no stand-up material and is extremely unique. It is quite a shock to see such an overweight person with such a versatile body. If anyone deserves to be thin she does, as she never stands still. Laurie Anna can capture audiences of all ages and perform in many different venues.
