Current affairs, reading newspapers, websites etc. I read the Guardian and Observer (which tells you all you need to know about my politics.)
I try and go walking as much as possible but without a car it's a bit hard to reach the great outdoors in Ireland.
Oh. And given the right music and a few beers I'm a dancing demon.
I play drums, bodhran and once had grade 7 piano. I listen to all types of music apart from country (you can't trust a man singing a sad song in a sparkly outfit - and the pedal steel should be banned..), but if you were to look at my music collection the one common feature would be 'good drums'.
I like anything with a bit more thought than the usual lazy hollywood blockbuster. My favourite directors would be Kubrik and the Coen brothers.
I tend to have a weak spot for cartoons as well - good ones mind: Samurai Jack, Clone wars, Danger Mouse and old Tom & Jerry.
Don't tend to watch that much these days. The Simpsons is a must if I remember.
I'd like to put something 'interesting' here, but if I'm being honest the book I've read most is LOTR.
Otherwise books I'd recommend are:
The Master and the Margerita
Lolita (I know, I know, but it's actually quite funny!)
A Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovitch
Lanark
The Cloud Atlas
