I live in Portland with my girlfriend and her 3 awesome kids.
I'm somewhat of a Star Wars geek, although some would say that I'm somewhat more than somewhat of a Star Wars geek.
I'm into computers. I volunteer at an organization called Free Geek. I get to take apart computers, decide if we keep or recycle the parts and then build new computers from the parts we keep. When I build 6 computers I get to keep one of them. It's a great learning experience. Check out the link in my Interests.
I'm also into beer. Not like a frat boy is into beer, but more like someone who is into wine. They know about reds and whites and Merlot and Pinot Nior. I'm trying to learn what each style of beer tastes like, which glass you should drink certain types of beer from, what foods go well with which beer, how each style is made....I'm nerdy about this kind of stuff.
I like tools. I don't mean just hammers and wrenches, I like the tools of all different trades. Paint brushes, knitting needles, knives, sextants, thermometers, etc. I want to learn how to use all of them.
I have this weird thing where I want to be able to identify a city in a picture by the skyline. I want to look at the picture and say "that's Austin, TX" or some other random city.
