Just letting everyone know about our upcoming events that are planned at Eve and Ocean Blue. For the last two thursday nights at Eve, and the last three saturday nights at Ocean Blue, we are running fashion shows for everyone who is interested! We have some of the funkiest new labels that will be hitting the stores and also some older labels that have stood the test of time! More information will be posted soon but please come down and show your support!
Fashion Watch is going to be Australia’s first ground level internet based fashion watching service. In the current internet environment, there is no place for men (mainly) but also women, where they can log onto the internet and view fashion as it is in and around Melbourne, or Australia, or even the world. There are many easy to access sites on the internet which sell boutique clothing and/or show pictures of catwalk fashion. The problem with these fashion sites is that the outfits and photos that are presented might be award winning in the fashion industry, but cannot actually be worn away from the catwalk. Combined with the fact that due to each site selling its own clothing, a true representation of what current fashion really is can never actually be obtained.
What Fashion Watch has created is a site that publishes the base level of fashion as it is now. What styles people are wearing now, what styles are new and what styles are up and coming. Things such as exciting new colour ranges, trends and looks must be published almost weekly. Fashion Watch wants to explore and publish the great looks and ideas that other people are creating to advance fashion and bring everyone along for the ride. Fashion Watch has no desire to create or sell the clothing, which will prevent any bias towards one style or another.
The new fashions and ideas will be taken from as many events as possible including night clubs, spring racing carnivals, music festivals, local pubs and bars, clothing stores and everywhere else that fashion lurks. The idea is to photograph the old, the current and the up coming trends and looks that appear in and around Melbourne.
