About Me

My style is hard to define since I’ve loved music forever and everything I’ve listened in my life influences my sets. Nowadays I listen to all kind of electronic music “styles” and lots of indie rock bands. I started clubbing in 2000 and really hated electronic music before that year. I think I started with my left foot, listening to crappy commercial trance. The album that made me go from clubber to Dj was Tiga’s contribution for the Dj Kicks series, a brilliant smorgasboard of sounds and emotions. That album made clear to me that there are no music genres anymore, just good or bad music. The clubbing scene in Mexico has constants ups and downs, so it was hard for me to get to play in clubs (my age didn’t helped lol). In 2005 I met some really nice and talented people from Sonical Music. They believed in my sound, which in that moment was quite different from what most of the Mexican Dj´s were playing and they made me a member of their family. So far I have played in bars, clubs, underground parties, afterhours and the odd fashion show. I’ve shared the stage with DJ Hell (Gigolo records), Superpitcher (Kompakt), Matt Tolfrey (Crosstown Rebels/Leftroom Records), Kiki & Silversurfer (Bpitch Control), Greg Pappanastos (PURR@Proton Radio), MyMy (Cocoon) and Argentinean house heroe Hernan Cerbello (Feedback Booking). This 2007 looks promising. I’m experimenting with Ableton Live in my sets, hoping to deliver an improved experience and unique sounds to the crowd. I’ve always tried to go one step ahead from everyone else and sometimes I spin eclectic tracks that some people find quite strange, some people loves it and some people hates it. It’s disappointing to see how some dj´s get stucked in the same easily-crowdpleasing sound for years. I like to play for smart, demanding crowds.
