About Me

I'm Rich Campbell, the writer of San Diego Spotlight about the San Diego Padres and Chargers Confidential about the Chargers. After a life long interest in sports as both a fan and a player, I now write about them. My playing days are long gone.I'm a divorced father of a 10 year old boy who never ceases to remind me of his need for more things with L.T. or Trevor on them and a 7 year old girl who wishes the Padres and Chargers made more things in pink. (...and that Hannah Montana would become a Charger Girl with her.)I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4

My Interests

San Diego Sports at every level, all baseball, NFL & SDSU football, Soccer, SDSU Basketball.

Music:

Skanic, Kat Dixon, Adam & the Ants, Stray Cats, U2, Keith Urban, Iron Maiden, The Specials, Beethoven, Garth Brooks, John Williams, P.O.D., Miles Davis, Eric Clapton, The Beatles, The Doors...did ya get the idea that I'm a little eclectic in the music department yet?

Movies:

Lord of the Rings, Casablanca, Star Wars, anything by Kevin Smith, Baz Luhrman, Before Sunrise & Before Sunset.I love the movies and have an extensive DVD collection. I watch the Oscars and all that. It would be easier for me to do an annual top ten than an all time top ten.

Television:

Firefly, Deadwood, History Channel, Battlestar Galactica, Miami Ink.I don't watch TV much except for Sports really. When I get into a series, it is usually when I decide to buy it on DVD. Or maybe DVR it.

Books:

J.R.R. Tolkien, Robin Hobb, George R.R. Martin, Steve Berry, Margaret Weis, Alessia Brio, Ken Kuhlken, Alan Russell, James Grippando, John Jay Jacobs, Gwen Masters.Hey, I'm a writer. My tastes are all over the place fictionwise. Not too into non-fiction. I like everything but my first choices would be erotica or epic fantasy, with science fiction running a close third.

Heroes:

Tony Gwynn, LaDainian Tomlinson, Trevor Hoffman, Junior Seau.(Hey, this is my sportswriting page, ya know? Nobody wants to read about my admiration for Dylan Thomas, Shakespeare or D.H. Lawrence here...)

Bolts Win With Rivers, Defense

The game plan of the Tennessee Titans was obvious. Shut down L.T., keep it close and force the Chargers young quarterback to beat them. Well, they accomplished all three. Unfortunately for Jeff Fisher...

Talking the Talk

In the wake of a 23-3 win over Denver that left the Chargers a victory away from the 3 seed for the playoffs, the talk is not about the resurgence of the team. Not about LaDainian Tomlinson taking ove...
