About Me

I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4 I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4 You will find meaning in life only if you create it. It is not lying there somewhere behind the bushes, so you can go and you search a little bit and find it. It is not there like a rock that you will find. It is a poem to be composed, it is a song to be sung, it is a dance to be danced........Osho......I have a bunch of degrees in theatre and work in the wine industry. I've directed over 60 plays and performed in over 100. I have been in a couple of films and commercials and have directed my own feature film and several shorts. I love to write and have written three feature screenplays, plays, musicals and several shorts. My passion right now is the musical I've been working on for the past 4 years. Sydney Town. I wrote the book and the lyrics. It's about the area known as the Embarcadero in San Francisco during the Gold Rush in California. There was a gang of Australians who took over the area and called it Sydney Town. I want Hugh Jackman to play the leader of the gang. If you know him, let him know I'll send him the script. It's Deadwood Meets Cabaret. You can read all about it at.... www.sydneytownthemusical.com.....I have 5 grandchildren and 3 children who I adore and wish lived closer to me. I was married for 19 years and have been single for most of the past 16 years. Came out about 10 years ago.I'm bringing back more love and art into my life and my current motto is "More intention and more abandon."I spent most of my adult life in the theatre as an actor, director, designer or audience member. In between hanging out in theatres I have been to Japan where I hung out in Kabuki Theatres and taught English through improvisation and theatre games. I've traveled to Greece and hung out in the Theatre Dionysis and whereever there was an amphitheatre. Spent a month in the Cyclades Islands hanging out in tavernas and the beach and want to go back soon. I have been to 25 of the United States and want to visit them all. I try to go to Mexico every year and hang out in bars and on the beach. I have a dream of someday connecting young artists and performers with mentors to help them through the tough times.

My Interests

Theatre, film, art, travel, food and wine, family, history, literature, gardening. Good times."An artist has always gotta be in the state of becoming"... Bob Dylan...."If you advance confidently in the direction of your own dreams and endeavor to live the life which you have imagined, you will meet with a success unexpected in common hours." Henry David Thoreau.....

I'd like to meet:

I'd be interested in meeting anyone who's interested in what I'm interested in. Transformation, enlightened living, creative, artistic and positive people. Having a good time. But I'd also like to meet anyone interested in theatre, film, food and wine, travel, family. I am most attracted to down-to-earth, authentic people with a witty sense of humor. Like Amy and David Sedaris, Meryl Streep, Paul Rudd, Ellen Degeneras. Also looking to meet anyone who would be interested to help produce our musical. Make sure you check out our other myspace at wwwmyspace.com/sydneytown If you would be interested in helping us promote and produce, please contact us through myspace. Getting my musical up on the boards is a major priority. Anyone from talent, (actors, singers, dancers in the SF area) producers, designers, and choreographers. Thanks.

Use the power of your word in the direction of truth and love.2. Don't Take Anything Personally..... Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream. When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you won't be the victim of needless suffering.3. Don't Make Assumptions..... Find the courage to ask questions and to express what you really want. Communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid misunderstandings, sadness and drama. With just this one agreement, you can completely transform your life.4. Always Do Your Best..... Your best is going to change from moment to moment; it will be different when you are healthy as opposed to sick. Under any circumstance, simply do your best, and you will avoid self-judgment, self-abuse and regret.:: The Four Agreements, Don Miguel Ruiz
