I am a woman of stories.I have experienced heartache in the midst of change. Pain throughout my brokenness. Veritable joy in my triumphs. Apathy in my times of confusion. Discontentment during my eras of personal refinement . . . The times in which I enter into Kairos (the named realm in which we are "freed from normal restrictions and opened to a wider world, where colours are brighter, sounds clearer, and people more wondrously complex than we normally realize") is, in fact, in the blessed moments when I am entrusted with the God-given inspiration to translate such stories to the page- as ONE cohesive idea. ONE song. ONE melody . . . the sole intention of such anthems is to esteem God's sovereignty; every chance I am accorded to reveal how the divinity of Christ has disclosed itself in my own life and to transform such personal testimonies into musical accounts is nothing less than an unmerited blessing. I am a storyteller by default- an artist by nature . . . and, in the words of a great American author, “What our free will is meant to do is to help God to write the story . . . my stories affect my Christianity, restore me, shake me by the scruff of the neck, and pull this straying sinner into an awed faith.” It is not about me.
