Hola my Tejano Friends. Let me tell you a little about me. Im originally from Lubbock, Texas. In the late 60s & 70s, We where Migrant worker's and from Tejas we went to Arizona, Colo, Califa, and Utah. Well it was My Jefito that introduce me into tejano music, My Dad was a Radio Dj and played nothing but tejano jamz on the radio. “ Believe it or not there where lots of tejanos hereâ€. My Dad also was a Musician, he was one of the best Tenor Sax player around and Played Drums for RUBEN VELA in the Mid 80s. Well he always took me to his band pratice, and I started to learn how to play the guitar. I was about 10 yrs old and before you know it, I was playing the guitar in My Jefitos band I learn alot by listening to SUNNY OZUNA, THE LATIN BREEDS, THE ROYAL JESTERS, HENRY BALDERRAMA Y LA PATRIA, TORTILLA FACTORY, STEVE JORDAN, FREDDIE MARTINEZ, JOE BRAVO, LITTLE JOE, And LOS UNICO. My main instrument is Lead Guitar, Bajo/Quinto and Keyboards. I been play tejano music for 36 yrs. Me and my son aka { Mr.Dj } we have are small Recording Studio where we do our thing. Back in 1991, I have had the pleasure to get on stage and play the guitar with Jessy Serrata, Chacha Jimenez, and Bobby Naranjo. Back in 2005 I had the pleasure to go play at the 2005 National Tejano Music Convention.. at the Rio Casino,in the ..Tejano Experience Expo... in Las Vegas. Throughout my years of playing I have got to share the stage with ..The Latin Breed, Joe Bravo, Juan Guerrero y Los Sheekanos, Eddie Olivarez Y Los Playboys, Joe Mejia & The Mejia Band, Lenny and the Lucky Six, La Sombra, Bobby Torres Y Tierra Blanca, Bobby Naranjo, Jessy Serrata, Chacha Jimenez, Jimmy Gonzalez, Chente Barrera, Jennifer Pena and Pete Astudillo.. Currently I just release my first solo Tejano cd call "CHEPITO TEJANO LIFE" product and Recorded by Me and My Son "Mr.dj" that I did all the arrangements and recorded all the Keyboards Guitar and Bass.
