It's a long slow slide, back into the ocean

About Me

The wind is whispering....I am coming back around to myself...perhaps...maybe. It's been such a long time. This could be interesting, yet comforting.

You Are From Neptune
You are dreamy and mystical, with a natural psychic ability.
You love music, poetry, dance, and (most of all) the open sea.
Your soul is filled with possibilities, and your heart overflows with compassion.
You can be in a room full of friendly people and feel all alone.
If you don't get carried away with one idea, your spiritual nature will see you through anything. What Planet Are You From?
Your Element Is Water
A bit of a contradiction, you can seem both lighthearted and serious.
That's because you're good at going with the flow - but you also are deep.
Highly intuitive, you tune in to people's emotions and moods easily.
You are able to tap into deep emotional connections and connect with others.
You prefer a smooth, harmonious life - but you can navigate your way around waves.
You have a knack for getting people to get along and making life a little more peaceful. What's Your Element?

Your Love Life is Like Annie Hall
"A relationship, I think, is like a shark. You know? It has to constantly move forward or it dies."
You believe that love (if you even believe in love!) is a very complicated thing.
Maybe love is pain. Or maybe it's all a big therapy session. You're still figuring it out.
Your love style: Brainy and a bit neurotic
Your Hollywood Ending Will Be: Realistic and reflective What Movie Is Your Love Life Like?

Music:

Since the 80's my favourite band has been Icehouse. It's that mesmerizing voice of the lead singer, Iva Davies (Ghost of Time & The Berlin Tapes...awesome!). Lately I'm really enjoying Damien Rice and Vienna Teng. I never stop relishing the sounds from George Winston, and then there are the pumpin tunes of AC/DC. My listening habits are alternative, pop, rock, blues, jazz and piano. Not a country music or rap fan. Live music in a small bar is always a treat. Which Goddess Are You?!? with never before seen pics and goddesses
You are Gaia! Gaia existed before everything; she existed before time. Gaia, the eternal, prehistoric earth mother goddess, is fertility incarnate, moist, mysterious, strong. She is life energy itself; everything that lives, breathing or not, overflows with her life. She is the earth and all the powers of the earth. Gaia is not always a consoling goddess: standing for life and generation without thought of consequence, she has a energy and a power that must be approached carefully. All bodies eventually return to her, into the black, fertile earth, to be devoured and to recieve her life to live again. As goddess of the soul, Gaia reminds us that the soul develops in dark places and that ultimately soul must be rooted in body, in earth. She is a reminder that we must ground ourselves in the reality of nature and incorporate all sides of oursleves, be they pleasant or unpleasant, light or dark.

Movies:

I like most movies, including independent and foreign films. Currently on the top of the list is 'What the Bleep', topically it covers most of my intellectual interests. All time great's are 'Before Sunset', because the communication is just so open in this film; 'Moulin Rouge' for both the music and Ewan McGregor (well, anything with Ewan is good); 'Meet Joe Black'...a "let's think about mortality" film; any of the mythology based doc's with Joseph Campbell. The nature of the psyche is flippin interesting when you hear it through Joseph's belief systems."Come What May" by Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor
