taking pictures of water fountains, being awake when the sun says hello, walks in the rain, music, books, concerts, art, political/environmental/dogmatic debate, playing in the woods, playing at the beach, playing in the park----these are among the things that make the day go by
people with real reactions, Iggy Pop for martinis andsomeone who makes the day go by quicker with just a thought
i am game for almost anything... nina simone to fugazi...my fav for years is sonic youth... ska kid at heart... i have recently been exposed to Bow Wow...and i am fightened...i am loving the old punk again and am listening to a lot of random indie lately
i just watched the rage in placid lake with ben lee...it was actually really good...also, i finally watched the boy with green hair...which put all the clients i work with asleep...water is fabulous as well (even if a little historically warped)
IS EVIL...though i have a soft spot for the Simpsons, Invader Zim and Carnivale...though 2/3 of those come on no more...i watch adult swim...and i am enough of a dork that i enjoy naruto...typically i am about the movies and prefer anime on dvd to watching the tube...oh, but i love that i have sundance and IFC
i just finished loving Short Takes, brief encounters with contemporary nonfiction, and am in process of finishing Rollins' Broken Summers, Leland's HIP: the history (i couldn't resist, i had to get it), and also 1001 Great Sories vol.1. In the waiting to be read pile: Eco's The Mysterious Flame of Queen Loana, Jacobs' The Death and Life of Great American Cities, and Mishima's The Sound of Waves. Hooray for money to buy more books!
