DYPRESSIVE - ein Name der f..r H..rte, Kompromisslosigkeit und Melancholie zugleich steht. So l..sst sich wohl auch die Musik der in Duisburg beheimateten Band am besten beschreiben: Tougher Metalcore mit einem dosierten Einschlag einiger Death- und Hardcore-Elemente.
Gegr..ndet im Herbst 2002 begann die Band sich langsam zu entwickeln und ihren eigenen Weg zu gehen. Nach einigen selbst produzierten Demo Aufnahmen wurde etwa eineinhalb Jahre sp..ter das Indie Label Audixx-Records auf die Band aufmerksam und bot eine Zusammenarbeit an. Kurz darauf konnten bereits die Aufnahmen zur Deb..t EP MY LOVE IS DEAD beginnen. Als im folgenden Jahr allerdings die Ver..ffentlichung der CD anstand, stellte sich leider heraus, dass sich das Label aufgrund einiger finanzieller Schwierigkeiten kurzfristig aufl..sen musste. Die Band bekam das aufgenommene Material zur Verf..gung gestellt und man entschloss sich dazu eine Ver..ffentlichung in Eigenregie durchzuf..hren. Bereits im noch verbleiben Jahr konnte mehr als die halbe Auflage von MY LOVE IS DEAD erfolgreich abgesetzt werden.
Im darauf folgenden Winter produzierte Gitarrist Patrick einen Underground Sampler mit insgesamt zehn Bands aus ganz Nordrhein-Westfalen unter dem Titel THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT: A HARD AND METALCORE COMPILATION. Auf dem Sampler fanden sich auch zwei Songs der DYPRESSIVE Deb..t EP aus dem Vorjahr wieder. Zum Ende des Jahres konnte das Songwriting f..r das n..chste Release PRISTINE erfolgreich abgeschlossen werden und ein Besuch im Th..ringischen Rape of Harmonies Studio [Heaven Shall Burn, Maroon, Narziss] vereinbart werden. Mit der Hilfe von Ralf M..ller und Patrick W. Engel entstand so im Februar 2007 die bis Dato st..rkste und professionellste Produktion der Band.
Nat..rlich sind DYPRESSIVE aber auch eine sehr live aktive Band, was sich in zahlreichen Shows im In- und Ausland mehr als best..tigt hat. Man teilte sich unter anderem mit Bands wie End of Days, Deadsoil, Machinmade God, Jane oder Amen Ra die B..hnen und erhielt Allerorts sowohl vom Publikum als auch von den verantwortlichen Bookern bemerkenswert positive Resonanzen und Reaktionen.
Nun sind DYPRESSIVE auf der Suche nach einem geeigneten Label, um die neu aufgenommene EP ver..ffentlichen zu k..nnen. Ein entsprechender Release Termin ist von daher f..r das diesj..hrige Fr..hjahr vorgesehen..!

TRANSLATION:
DYPRESSIVE – a name that demonstrates hardness, intransigence and melancholy at the same time. That’s even the best way to describe the music of the Duisburg [GER] based band: Tight metalcore with a dosed impact of some death metal and hardcore elements.
Founded in autumn 2002 the band started to develop their own sound and musically direction. After a few self-produced demos, the indie label Audixx-Records gets in touch with the band and offered a collaboration. Just a little bit later the recordings for the debut EP MY LOVE IS DEAD were settled to begun. Everything went well, until the time has come to publish the CD: It turns out that the label was about to run out of business caused by financial problems and had to shut down. DYPRESSIVE became their recorded songs and were forced to release the material in their own way. Already in the remaining year, more than the half of the whole pressings from the debut had been discharged successfully.
In the following winter guitarist Patrick produced an underground D.I.Y. Sampler with ten bands from Germanys North Rhine - Westphalia under the title THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT: A HARD AND METALCORE COMPILATION. On the sampler you can also find two songs from the DYPRESSIVE debut EP MY LOVE IS DEAD. At the end of the year the songwriting for the new release PRISTINE was finished and a visitation in the Thuringian Rape of Harmonies Recording Studio [Heaven Shall Burn, Maroon] has been arranged. In February 2007, with the assistance and helping hands from Ralf Mueller and Patrick Engel developed the most professional and intense production of the band until today.
Certainly DYPRESSIVE is a very live active band, too. Numerous concerts and shows in their home country and abroad approved this several times. The band shared the stage with well known acts like End of days, Deadsoil, Machinemade god, Jane or even Amen Ra and received everywhere a very positive and intense feedback [as well as from the crowd as from the responsible bookers].
Now DYPRESSIVE are in search for a proper label or record company to release their newly recorded EP. An according release date could be scheduled for this years spring or summertime..!
