My father beat my mother, and as a child, I ran screaming to neighbors for help. I dealt with these harsh realities as a young child by withdrawing inside myself until I refused to speak. But being shut up inside myself was most painful, more painful than the violence I was enduring because I wasn't expressing myself; therefore, I wasn't living, and so my cry here is to be used, to be shared. I love photography; I'm just an amatuer, but I've had one or two of my photos published. I love sketching and gardening, but I haven't done either for a few years. I enjoy biblical studies and discussions, and ministering to the sick and/or shut-in.
I've worked as a mathematics teacher, engineer, project manager, paralegal, and leasing manager. I am retired from BellSouth (now AT&T) after giving 24 years there working as an engineer and project manager. Although, now I am working as hard as ever.
I am looking forward to doing a lot more traveling. I love going to places I've never been before, even the smallest town. Sometimes getting lost and finding my way makes some of the best stories.
