LABEL :Süd came to life as a label , in october 2002 .
Lerato Khathi (Lakuti) and Alan Abrahams (Portable ) grew up at opposite parts of south africa ; with Lerato hailing from Soweto ,and Alan hailing from Bonteuhewel , a township In Capetown . They shared a common love for electronic music ; drawing inspiration from Chigaco , Detroit , Germany , Soweto e.t.c. They moved to london in 1997 & started djaying and promoting events .They later established Süd . The label is currently run from London & Lisbon .
The output has been supported by dj's & artists such Ricardo Villalobos , Richie Hawtin , Rolando , Dj Dex , Krikor , Martin Schopf Aka Dandy Jack , Zip , Ryan Elliot , Jeff Milligan , Sonia Moonear e.t.c.EVENTS :The Süd Events have been running , regularly in London since 2000 . They also introduced many artists , to a London Audience .
