About Me

MUSIC...A WAY OF LIFE.... Born in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, England, Steve was introduced to music from an early age, at the age of nine; he picked up a guitar and has never looked back. Although his early years of music were purely classical, he soon got the taste for rock music in his early teens, being introduced to metal bands such as Iron Maiden, Metallica and Motorhead, the new wave of heavy metal. "I've always been inspired by these bands because in their early days they were raw and a totally new dimension was added to rock, so part of their writing style is in me, and always will be".... ------------------------------------------- INFLUENCES.... Steve's guitar style is also unique, boasting neo-classical lead idolised by the Swedish guitar god Yngwie J. Malmsteen, to the fast paced slurring of the great Wolf Hoffman (formally of Accept), with a touch of Gary Moore style blues, it's a irresistible blend which makes Steve unique.Steve's first band was called 'Lacerate'."We never really did anything big with Lacerate; we were all inexperienced in the business side of music, which led to our demise". Steve then embarked on a solo career purely focussing on instrumental compositions and four albums were written,'ECO-SCHIZOPHRENIA', 'THE BODY TALKS', 'SCREAMING IN DIGITAL' and 'SYMPHONY OF SEDUCTION', THE BITTER PILL was to follow, then in the middle of writing something terrible happened...... - A LIFE CHANGING MOMENT.... In Dec 2002, Steve's life changed forever, his beloved mum Janet, died of cancer and it hit Steve hard. "It brought me back down to earth with a bang and changed me as a person, I don't take anything for granted anymore, it took me two years to focus on writing again” and with the release of his latest album 'FREAKS' upon us, I think this album shows he is back with a vengeance. ----------------------------------------- BIRTHPLACE: Mansfield, Nottinghamshire.
