Batata Doce, formed in May of 2007, is comprised of 5 well established members from ReynoldsTown, in the epicenter of the booming intown Atlanta music scene. Fronted by Brazilian singer Leticia Arioli, this band includes members Russell Owens (King Congregation), Justin Sias (Elevado), Justin Hughes (The Rock-A-Teens) and Todd Morrison (Pistolero). Amassing over 60 shows in the last 9 months, the band plays late 70's punk disco infused Brazilian garage rock.They were recently featured to host the Montezuma International Film Festival in Costa Rica.
