The Vision of By Faith Productions

My name is Vince McAllister of By Faith Productions. To explain our corporate vision, I must first tell you who I am and where God has led me.I was raised in a Christian home by two Christian parents. We went to a conservative church every Sunday. My belief in Christ, although immature, began at eight years old. My father was first a deacon and then later became an elder of our church. My grandparents were missionaries in Brazil, working in the Amazon. As a teen, I often wondered why they would give up all the “cool” things this life has to offer, opting for a life of serving the Lord in the Amazon jungle. I wondered if my grandparents knew what it was like to own a nice car or nice house. How could they survive on the support of others? Did they not like nice things or did they just enjoy “roughing it?” Maybe they had a few screws loose! At any rate, I knew I could never do what they were doing simply because I had much bigger plans for my life. I was going to be a big-time baseball star! In high school and college I pursued my passion: major league baseball.In my twenties, a series of injuries robbed me of my dream of playing major league baseball professionally. Crushed, but not defeated, I decided if I wasn’t going to be a baseball star, I may as well try to grab the “baseball star” money! I devoted all my time to a career in the car business. Seventy hour work weeks were common. After all, I was earning five or six times more money than any of my friends; isn’t that what successful people do? Or so I thought.What happened in my thirties changed my life forever. Although I was an active member of my church, it wasn’t until God revealed Himself in His glory to me through many answered prayers, miracles and salvations that I could no longer deny the path that God has for me. The truth of my faith, that small seed planted in an eight year old boy so many years ago, had just smacked me right between my eyes. And He has a mission for me! WOW! God had called me to be so much more than a finance director for many dealerships. Christ called me to be a missionary, just like my grandparents! Looking back, I now realize my past was an excellent training ground for the work the Lord had in store for me regarding By Faith Productions.The mission statement of By Faith Productions is “We are committed to advance the cause of Christ and to proclaim the gospel message through public presentations of contemporary Christian music and media.” Good words, good mission and something I firmly believe in. But, No one says it any better than Paul in Acts 20:24,26,27&28 –“But my life is worth nothing unless I use it for doing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about God’s wonderful kindness and love. Let me say plainly that I have been faithful. No one’s damnation can be blamed on me. For I didn’t shrink from declaring all that God wants for you. And now beware! Be sure that you feed and shepherd God’s flock—his church, purchased with his blood—over whom the Holy Spirit has appointed you as elders.”This is the overall vision of By Faith Productions, to evangelize, encourage and to be obedient unto the call. The vision is to grow By Faith Productions to a level where we can operate on a daily basis as a fully functional and funded non-profit organization. I see By Faith Productions having privileges to move forward where certain denominations and politics may hinder other groups. By Faith Productions will have a unique opportunity to help and encourage the “whole” body of Christ and be a great organization for gathering together many organizations in the name of Jesus. We hold ourselves to a high standard. Working with excellence as if we were working for the Lord himself (in fact we are). Through all our work and efforts the bottom line is introducing people to our gracious Lord by faith and encouraging them to grow in their new faith in Christ.To God be the Glory!
