EntertainerHe started his music career in 1987 when he picked up the pen and the pad in a work force summer youth program in Lubbock. Inspired by UGK Ridin Dirty and 8 Ball and MJG On Top of the World, he got extremely serious with his talents in 1993 and started writing everyday. Big Roc then started doing shows an creating a larger buzz for himself through out West Texas.
He remembers going to Midland to record a song titled off the hook and ended up getting invited to perform with UGK.
Broke with some old jeans, nappy hair but the desire to perform and get exposed, He took the first ride he could get to Lubbock to perform with the group that inspired him so much !
His love for the music always spoke out to him so he started DJing and increasing his skills as a performer and as a entertainer.
He figured out that as a DJ he could use that avenue to get his own music heard. As a result he started getting producers together and recording songs faithfully.
He then formed a group known as The Cuntree Boyz which consisted of him self and Duke.
The Cuntree boys dropped there firs hit out of west Texas “It’s On†which was broadcast on 93.3 the Beat throughout 2002. They then dropped “Cut Tonight†which was also a major success.
The Cuntree Boyz did several shows from 2002 and 2003 through out Texas, from Arlington to Dallas, from Abilene to Midland.
Big Roc is currently Working on his solo Debut Album entitled “Got Roc†with hit songs Freaky Ways and My Baby, Scheduled for release in Spring of 2007.
Freaky Ways the single was released Nov 1st 2006 and is currently being played on power 102 El Paso, TX
