There are so many interesting things all around us that one lifetime of living is not enough to even crack the surface of those things discoverable. While I am living my LIFE I tend to find as many things that capture my interest as possible while enjoying those very things to the fullest while it lasts. If I am interested in something than I will take in all that there is to offer but if I am not interested in it than my attention span would resemble one that is diagnosed with A.D.D. I have found great pleasure in enjoying good laughs in the company of my great friends, walking around aimlessly in Manhattan with my iPod attached to my ears, vibing to the musical soundtracks provided as a backdrop at a chill lounge, pushing the limits of my physical and mental being with the skates on my feet, reading a good book in a quiet place, cooking up a delicious meal in my apartment, spending time with my De', thinking to myself, appreciating the wildlife that we share this Earth with, Going to
In my experiences thus far I have gotten along with everybody that has come across my path so I don't really want to pigeonhole myself by selecting individuals that I would like to meet. All are welcome so come one, come all.
My musical tastes is as varied as my own ethinicity which results in a plethora of different musical selections. In my laptop I am starting a new music library that sounds bizarre to some but perfectly normal to me since I listen to all types of music. But if I had only one category to listen to then it will be Hip-Hop....and I mean real Hip-Hop such as Cage, Sage Francis, Immortal Technique, Atmosphere, A Tribe Called Quest, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Rhymefest, MF Doom, Akrobatik, De La Soul
I can sit down and absorb any movie from any genre without descrimination but bad endings have plagued a great amount of movies that I have seen all throughout my LIFE. It is a letdown when the story has an amazing build up but then falls apart moments before the credits roll. Therefore, my DVD collection is not as vast when compared to somebody else who may have a different set of cinematic standards. There are plenty of great movies out there but it just takes a bit of time to dig them out of the sea of mediocrity. Movies such as AMERICAN HISTORY X, REQUIEM FOR A DREAM, FULL METAL JACKET, A CLOCKWORK ORANGE, KIDS, DONNIE DARKO, CASTAWAY, DANCER IN THE DARK, DESPERADO, SCARFACE
My television is used only for handpicked DVD's and / or my Gamecube when the weather is not allowing me outside. I rarely watch t.v. since 99% of the programs are garbage to me. But the last program that I watched and LOVEd was the CHAPPELLE SHOW since he cracks me up with his impressions of everybody.
I have recently found myself drawn to Barnes
