SUMMARY
www.punk.vg is a new website designed to highlight local and independent artists around the world. More importantly, the website will allow the opportunity for indie artists to have their work featured on a far larger scale than their local fanbases have provided. The main page will offer a featured artist per week, and will also feature columns from punk.vg employees.
REVIEWS AND CONTESTS
Reviews of new independent and local albums are a given. In combination with those reviews, advertised contests and promotions for the featured artist will be featured weekly to win merchandise in coordination with the artist and label. This will allow independent labels and artists to gain additional publicity for their product.
CONCERTS
In the works is a local concert highlighting the many artists who will have appeared on the site. The concert is scheduled for mid-april and the information will be accessable through the site and also through literature passed out at the show. The negotiations with the venues have included a portion of the profits being donated to charity.
