Zulu Ent. is currently one of the hottest rap labels in Bogalusa!
Started in late 2004, founded by Chris Dixon (CTA, Chris Tha Artist)
Zulu Ent. began in the late years of 2004 with just one artist,
CTA's half-brother "YoungSlugger".
After all the hard times, CTA put Slugger on and recorded 2 full songs.
Later, Slugger was sent up north to Chicago.
CTA had no artist and took to liking of this new music hobby,
so he talked to his best friend Rel,
and agreed to rap under Zulu Ent.
Rel decided that they should really take this hobby serious, turning it into a job.
CTA and Rel brainstormed ideas of how they would
get the label noticed in their city,
Later, CTA signed one of his longtime childhood friends, by the name of Boo.
The trio dropped many mixtapes in the time to come, including:
We All We Got; Gutta Musik; We All We Got vol.2; Bootsiana;
We All In; AllStar Grind and many more.
The mixtape "AllStar Grind" featured the debut
of a highly anticipated new artist to the crew, XMan.
XMan was featured on the club banger "Part N Da Paint".
This starring stoned XMan a forsure'd spot at the top with the big dogs.
In the upcoming of the local label, the artists appeared/ have been featured
and collaborated with some of the hottest rappers in their lone city,
Artists such as ,Killa Q, Tha RichTown Boyz, Slugger,
Ponchatoula's hot local superstar Lil' Cali, and many more.
The group has also worked with many of the hot local producers,
such names as Nip G, and K.T.
In the passing years, the group has created numerous hits such as:
Powder Head, Party N Da Paint, Swag, HighlandPark Crew, Rap Hustlin,
Deez Niggas, Make It Rain, My Niggas, Joccin 4 My Swag (mixtape version),
and many more.
Those hits, and the love of the fans have made this team a highly favorited,
and well known popular music group of the city.
Once considered the underdogs, it seems now that many up and coming rappers
are now looking up to Zulu Ent. for features and advice.
A motto well said by Houston rapper Mike Jones:
"You Dont Work, You Dont Eat, You Dont Grind, You Dont Shine"
is what motivates the team, and what they live by.
In 2007, they were signed to a major local record label
by the name of "H.I.T. Records"
who also signed the hot group "Tha RichTown Boyz".
The label worked with the artists Rel and Boo,
and released a studio compilation album.
In the begining of the new year of '08, the group left the label
because of business/ financial issues.
They were back independent and pushed mixtapes like before.
Later, the group got signed by local neighborhood superstars/
co-owners of club 350/ local barbors, Gator & Mr. Muthafucka.
XMan, Rel, and Boo then formed the group "3 Da Hard Way",
and recorded the club hit "Swag" produced by Nip G.
Now with the group signed to the label Ya Boy Nem Ent.,
CTA switched his role to play a more helpful part in the business.
CTA now is head in charge of 3 Da Hard Way's promotion,
advertisement, marketing, graphic design, and also internet promotion.
This local hot group of Bogalusa has the motivation, potential, skills,
and ambition to be the next big thing out of Louisiana!
Time will only tell if they will land a major label deal and be in the big leagues
along with Trill Ent., Lava House, CashMoney, etc.
