Now at the age of 20, Leah has a veteran's experience and a pleasant charm to accompany her confidence.Leah, the youngest of four children born to Claudia and the late Ray Peterson, "The Golden Voice of Rock 'n' Roll", started early in life her quest for stardom. It was not uncommon to spot Leah on stage with her legendary father at an early age, even then, possessing the star quality all other artists look to portray. It is truly no surprise that she is such a well rounded artist. Leah's mother, Claudia, having a background in theatre, dance and music, and her father Ray, having a legendary career in popular music, boasting seven gold records over his illustrious career, these family influences have definitely shaped Leah's versatile abilities, being recognized for excellence in musicianship and scholarship in her teen years, and being seated 9th chair in Tennessee's All-State Choir in 2003. Leah has a background in dance that spans the majority of her life. She studied ballet for five years, and has also been recognized for her achievement in the genres of hip hop and pom choreography in 2003 and 2004. To complete the package of versatility, Leah is no stranger to acting on stage, having key roles in church, school plays, and musicals.When one talks to Leah about her creative aspirations, Leah energetically says, " I want to be recognized as a complete artist. I want to be known for my skills as a writer, a singer, and a performer, all while projecting a positive image". It is plain to see from her previous experience as a performer, and her life in general, Leah is definitely on her way to an influential and colorful career.Having been influenced by legendary artists like Whitney Houston, Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey, Lauren Hill, and Christina Aguilera, Leah is definitely focusing her attention to broadening her abilities and opportunities to become the artist who impacts the musical world in a major way. In her own words, Leah says, "I believe my life story is one that needs to be shared.
