How I made my profile:
I used Dave & Jay's amazing myspace editor .
Jack is a drummer and drum teacher from the West Midlands area. Jack first got a taste of drums at the age of 13 in his music class. The class were studying drums and Jack found that he picked it up very quickly and in that very lesson was jamming with the teacher. So in his private keyboard tuition he requested to learn drums as well.
Shortly after he began taking lessons from drum teacher Helen Rowell and the drums took over his life as well as his lessons. He bought a second hand kit with his own money, a 3 piece Pearl Maxwin. He began playing in a few bands furthering his drumming notably the funk rock band 'Sweetcure'
Jack now 18, drums for the emerging act 'This Burning Age' and also studing a National Diploma in Music Practice while teaching drums and doing session work part time which he eventually aims to do full time.

Influences: I could list people all day but to keep it short here's the 10 greatest influencers of me as a musician.

Jojo Mayer- The man never ceases to amaze me. Just a brilliant all round musician.

Chad Smith- My first real drumming influence. Just a superbly solid drummer.

Michael Andrews- Some of the best music i've ever heard.

Gavin Harrison- His subtle detail and inventive nature makes him a world renowned drummer and composer.

Benny Greb- Beautiful style and sound. Alongside Gavin Harrison, the two influence my drumming sound most.

James Maiden- A brilliant teacher who has helped me greatly with my attitude towards music.

Chris Adler- How metal drumming should be. Tasteful and creative use of the double bass drums.

Mogwai- Fantastic music that entrances me whenever I listen. If I could get anywhere near what these gentlemen produce I would be a proud man.

Carter Beauford- Greatly influenced my playing, particularly my hi-hat work.

Neil Peart- He's popular for a reason. A superb rock drummer and lyricist. He greatly influences my rock playing.
