What Passes for Winter

In death will I be remembered?

About Me

All drums recorded by Tim Williams except TRACK 2. "Edges that run straight and narrow" drums, guitars, bass, lead vocals by DScelz-Backup Vocals by Kadava. This is a cover of a 'Perpetuating a Stereotype' song, the prequel to What passes for Winter.
What Passes For Winter is a careful blend of Hardcore, Metal and Punk. Established in Winter Park, FL; we have roots and deep seeded viking backstories that extend as far as West Palm Beach, New York, Boston and of course and France. We play knowing that we will never be as innovative, dark, and downright fucking metal as Black Sabbath. That little bit of humility should ultimately be all you need to enjoy or discard us.
We are the first band in the greater Orlando area to organize shows displaying not only Hardcore, Metal, Grindcore, and Punk Bands...But DRUM & BASS DJ'S AS WELL. We call this show Tech Death, and we will be doing several more in the future, as soon as we find a dedicated, serious drummer.
Art exists on its own with no intrerruption from the outside world, mankind, or any sort of force unbeknownst to us. We do have the capacity, however to tap into that creative energy, and if done right...you might just end up with an orignal thought. Think about that and discard it immediately. Music is about energy plain and simple, you've either got it or you don't. We'll leave you to decide.
